Water leaks and floods occur for a multitude of reasons, often when they do the damage caused is costly in both time and equipment.

At Sensormetrix we have some sensible solutions to detect water leaks or floods. Our solutions will notify you via email or SMS if a leak or flood occurs, allowing you to act and fix the problem before any damage reaches a critical point. Our leak/flood detection products are simple to install and are low cost. Many thousands have been deployed in all sorts of situations.

Our most popular leak detection solutions are:-

EM01b-FLD: Flood Spot Detector designed to detect a flood or liquid build up in a certain area. Perfect for easy installation in any room or in areas at risk i.e. near an air conditioning unit. Multisensor capability.

HWg-WLD: Water Leak Detector will detect liquid anywhere along the length of a sensing cable. Perfect for installation that involves monitoring of coolant piping in air conditioning systems or water detection around technical areas. The water leak sensing cable is extremely versatile and can be wrapped around the piping, suspended under the piping or laid on the bottom of a pipe duct – in fact anywhere, any length.

EM01b-FLD – from £324.94 (includes one spot flood sensor, also temperature, humidity, light sensors and a door contact input)
This is the perfect all-in-one solution for spot leak or flood monitoring. Up to 6 ES11 sensors can be used with one EM01b base unit enabling 6 areas to be monitored simultaneously. The EM01b has options for alerts with simple integration to most BMS (Building Management Systems) via its ethernet connection. Additionally an LCD display accessory (ES-01) is available to view data in real-time local to the EM01b and sensors.

With over 7,000 units installed worldwide this is a very reliable and cost effective unit. The EM01b is also recommended by NAGIOS for server room monitoring.

HWg-WLD – from £296.18 (includes 2m sensing cable)
Used to detect water leaks or water floods along the entire length of a sensing cable from 2m to 85m. The sensing cable detects even the smallest volume of water, ethylene glycol or other conductive liquid. HWg-WLD can be ordered in two versions depending on the supply of power required. (power adapter or POE – Power over Ethernet: IEEE 802.3af).

The sensing cable detects as little as a few drops of the liquid and can be used to detect condensation. After flooding, the cable can be dried and reused. HWg-WLD features a built-in web server and SNMP support. In case of an alarm, the device sends an e-mail alert or SNMP trap.
