FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 24/05/2011 |
Diversified technology company 3M will exhibit a range of multi-touch displays based on 3M Projected Capacitive Technology (3M PCT) on Stand #3F.11 at Kiosk Europe Expo 2011, 24-25 May, Messe Essen. Highlights will include 22-inch and 32-inch multi-touch displays in kiosk and table applications. 3M will also demonstrate its recently launched Smart Pen, an input device providing precision accuracy for users of popular capacitive touch smart phones and tablets.
3M PCT multi-touch technology can register up to 60 simultaneous touch events with less than 12-millisecond response time, making it one of the fastest, most accurate and robust solutions available to users.
Stand demonstrations will include the new 32-inch 3M Multi-Touch Display C3266PW chassis, featuring a 1080p high-definition, wide viewing-angle LCD with 10-finger and 2-palm multi-touch capability, and various 22-inch multi-touch displays (the 3M Multi-Touch Display M2256PW desktop and the 3M Multi-touch Display M2254PW chassis). All these displays are ideal for integration into larger systems by integrators and OEMs.
Also on show will be 3M's industry-standard surface capacitive products which include: 3M MicroTouch System SCT3250EX (5.7-inch to 32-inch display sizes), 3M MicroTouch System SCT7650EX (vandal-prone and rugged applications) and 3M MicroTouch Display C2234SW (robust metal chassis housing). In addition, the 3M MicroTouch System DST2270DX (dispersive signal technology for 32-inch to 55-inch displays) will be demonstrated. The products highlight the potential of touch technology for a variety of engaging single, multi-user and collaborative applications, including audio/visual, casino gaming, digital signage, education, media and broadcast, security, telecommunications and utilities.
