Singapore, Singapore ( connect2business ) May 20, 2013 - Promising to be "the" premier music festival on an international stage, 1 World Music Festival is set to entertain an audience from across the globe at the Marina Barrage.
Coinciding with the Grand Prix Season Singapore night race weekend of 20 and 21 September 2013, the Festival intends to enhance Singapore's reputation as a sterling global metropolis and the world's most attractive point-of-destination every September.
The Marina Barrage is Singapore's 15th reservoir. It is the largest reservoir in Singapore to date, covering one-sixth the size of the island. Beyond its role as a catchment, the Barrage is a space for play and leisure. An arts trail showcasing sculpture from around the world pleases art lovers while the Water Playground offers a venue for parties and bazaars with a children's water play area.
With its aesthetically impressive architecture, entertainment options and a seafood restaurant located along a grand visage of the Singapore skyline, the Marina Barrage is a monument to Singapore's hypermodernity.
The futuristic space and ecological design of the Marina Barrage certainly goes hand in hand with this vision. Backed by a forward thinking and socially conscious team, the event will rely in large part on solar panels to power its musical extravaganza. The Festival will also use state-of-the-art technology in music and entertainment to amplify audience exhilaration.
The lineup includes established stars such as Cosmic Gate, Far East Movement, Infected Mushroom, Orbital Live, Pendulum DJ set + Verse, Sub Focus + ID, Iggy Azalea, Taboo of Black Eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah and regional turned international star Yuna, with many more in the pipeline. With such a star-studded line up, One World Music Festival will prove to become the benchmark to match in music events.
