Fellbach, Baden-Württemberg ( connect2business.co.uk ) March 29, 2014 - Lufft expands the product line of portable measuring instrument series X-Generation. End of November 2013 presented the Fellbach based measurement and control technology company the latest generation of hand-held instruments - the all-rounder XA1000. With the XC(ellent) series Lufft now brings two additional versions with the highest precision on the market. The two hand-held instruments XC200 and XC250 are the "technicians" among the instruments of the X-Generation, values such as temperature, relative humidity and dew point can be measured. A special feature of the XC-series is the possibility of non-contact measurement using a built-in pyrometer.
"With the XC(ellent) series we have developed two hand-held instruments that focus primarily on the needs of climate monitoring, climate assessment and climate control. The XC200 and the XC250 are particularly suitable for the climate management in buildings, museums, storage rooms and cabinets," explains Managing Director Dipl. industrial engineer Klaus Hirzel of G. Lufft GmbH.
In a comfortable handling special emphasis was placed on the XC-series. Both devices can be operated via the capacitive touch glas with a control pad. The measured data are shown in high contrast on the large-scale multi-colored LCD display and are easy to read. The color display is made of hardened glass and is scratch-resistant and for the use in sunlight.
The difference between the two devices of the XC-series, which are just 170 millimeters long and 250 grams light, is in the way of the application. With the XC200 the desired environmental data are measured by a tightly integrated sensor and evaluated. The XC250 goes one step further: For some more difficult measurements this device is also equipped with a pyrometer, also called radiation thermometer. Thus, a non-contact measurement via infrared is quite easy to implement.
All measured data of the two hand-held instruments can be managed with the help of a USB port, archived and analyzed at a glance. The required software SmartGraph3 for the PC is received free in the package.
The two hand-held instruments XC200 and XC250 are available immediately. More information about the devices can be found on the product microsite at www.lufft-xseries.com.
