Beat the winter blues with server room monitoring systems that are packed with features to ensure your server room equipment is maintained effectively.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 27/01/2012 |
With the onset of winter, we have been getting an increasing number of calls as more and more companies see the importance of protecting their server rooms against freezing temperature, floods and power failure.
With that in mind, we feature here three popular and capable products giving remote monitoring and warning you of impending temperature dangers wherever you are.
Comet P8511 + 1m Sensor
A low cost unit with high end features, this simple to use temperature websensor uses an external sensor to measure the temperature of your server room.
A web interface lets you set up email alerts and can link to any third party software via SNMP.
As many as 100 P8511s can be connected together for a large multi-point/room monitoring solution using the powerful DBS Sensor Monitor Software.
Poseidon 3265
Great for medium sized server rooms or monitoring areas in a lab. The user can attach up to 5 temperature and/or humidity sensors, with alerts sent via Email, SMS (requires SQ864 GSM modem) or interface to any third party software via SNMP/Trap. The unit has an intuitive web interface to view readings and configure settings.
Poseidon 4001
It might be quicker to explain what the 4001 unit can't do. This unit is a complete server room/data-centre monitoring solution. Designed for 19" server racks, the 4001 will monitor many environmental parameters and alert via email, SMS (requires SQ864 GSM modem), or third party software via SNMP/Trap. Two relay outputs allow you to turn on your aircon or connect to a buzzer for audible alert. As with all our monitoring units the 4001 is very simple to operate and configure via its web interface.
