Dr. Mark Schwartz helps his patients look and feel their best, with combined breast procedure
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 03/01/2014 |
New York, NY ( connect2business.co.uk ) January 3, 2014 - As with the rest of the body, the breasts often change due to age. These changes are often the result of significant life changes, such as pregnancy, weight-gain, or weight-loss. These changes often inspire women to seek a surgical procedure that will restore volume and shape to their breasts, as well as eliminate the issue of sagging skin.
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. Mark Schwartz helps women improve their bodies, along with their self-image, with combined breast augmentation and breast lift surgery. Breast augmentation, Dr Schwartz explains, will restore size to the breasts, while the breast lift will restore the breasts' firmness. Dr. Schwartz adds that implants will hold their shape more firmly, unlike natural breast tissue which loses its shape and firmness more easily with time.
Dr. Schwartz performs the combined breast augmentation and breast lift procedure in a manner similar to a standard breast lift. The main difference with this procedure, he says, is that an implant will be placed into the breasts beneath the mammary gland. During consultation, Dr. Schwartz speaks with his patients about the procedure, and offers them the option of choosing either a silicone or saline breast implant. Once the implant is in place, Dr. Schwartz will make an incision to remove the excess skin that is causing the breasts to sag.
According to Dr. Schwartz, this procedure is typically performed on an outpatient basis, and is done under either twilight or general anesthesia. The procedure generally takes about two to three hours to complete. Dr. Schwartz adds that possible side-effects associated with the procedure include swelling, and discomfort, both of which are temporary. Most patients are able to completely return to their normal activities three weeks after undergoing the procedure.
Dr. Schwartz says that the best candidates for this procedure are otherwise healthy women who want to restore the appearance of their breasts, and correct the issue of sagging skin. He adds that women must have realistic expectations about the procedure, and should only undergo the procedure for themselves, not to please anyone else.
