The recently FDA-approved cohesive breast implants, nicknamed as the "gummy bear implants," are growing in popularity due to their more natural appearance and shape-retaining consistency.

The gummy bear implant got its name from its texture prior to placement, which is remarkably similar to that of the soft candy. Its firmer consistency allows the gummy bear implant to retain its shape over time, as gravity can distort the shape of traditional standard implants.
