Job Title: Lecturer in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Maintenance

We’re looking for a passionate and dynamic Lecturer in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering to inspire the next generation of engineers! In this position, you’ll teach Mechanical & Electrical Engineering and related subjects across levels 1-3. Plus, you’ll have the chance to integrate industry experience into the curriculum where needed, ensuring students develop well-rounded skills for their careers. You’ll also take on key leadership roles in course development and curriculum planning, shaping the learning experience for all your students.

Essential Requirements:

  • Education to level 3 or above and/or a professional qualification in relevant subject area or equivalent

  • Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4+ or equivalent

  • Teaching Qualification / willingness to complete within 3 years of employment or 3 years of the first available course

Essential Experience:

  • Industrial experience within the plant maintenance / electrical / pneumatic engineering sector.

  • Experience of working with young people.

While holding a full teaching qualification is not a requirement for this role, at least some demonstration, teaching, trainingor supervision experience is essential.It will be expected that you complete a teaching qualification in post, for which you will be fully supported financially, with dedicated mentoring by the College.
