Onboarding Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Onboarding Team Leader to join our team in Leeds on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will manage a small team of onboarders and work closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure a consistent, efficientand compliant process. This will include team management, contract generation, inbox management and conducting and monitoring compliance requirements including background checks. 

Your New Role:?? 

  • Lead and manage a team of onboarders, providing guidance and support. 

  • Ensure all onboarding processes are followed meticulously, with a strong focus on background checking controls. 

  • Oversee and manage the onboarding team's email inbox, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups. 

  • Ensure all compliance requirements are met, including background checks. 

  • Prepare and issue employment contracts to new hires. 

  • Assist in compiling reports related to onboarding activities and compliance. 

  • Drive process improvements and implement small changes to streamline and automate onboarding activities. 

  • Balance business-as-usual tasks with management and supporting project work. 

  • Prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage different priorities. 

  • Maintain a strong candidate and customer focus, ensuring a positive onboarding experience. 

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively across the organisation. 

About you:?? 

  • Proven experience in a team leader or management role. 

  • Process-driven with a keen eye for detail. 

  • Experience working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment 

  • Background in onboarding, talent acquisition, or recruitment. 

  • Ability to work at pace and handle high volumes of work. 

  • Strong focus on continuous improvement, with the ability to identify opportunities for streamlining processes. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. 

  • Candidate and customer focussed.
