THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Fund Controller, this is a varied and commercial role and you will be working within a well established team who pride themselves on the quality of their work, and a friendly, collaborative environment.
The administration is outsourced to a third-party service provider and management of this supplier is a key aspect of this role. Responsibilities are as follows:
Accounts Payable
- Processing invoices, ensuring correct coding and approval
- Ensuring timely and accurate payment process
-Maintaining accurate records of expenses and payments and ensuring all documentation is properly filed
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders to address enquiries or issues related to invoices or payments
- Developing strong relationship with internal asset management team ad outsourced property manager
General Accounting
- Overseeing property managers to ensure service charge accounting is being funded and reported accurately
- Assisting in the review of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements
- Assisting with audits, providing supporting documentation and information as requested
- Assisting in the review of VAT returns, and reviewing expenditure in monthly management accounts prepared by external service provider to ensure accuracy of financial information
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Helping preparing reports for management, analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings
- Collaborating with other team members, providing financial insights and assistance as required
- Assisting in maintaining and improving accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiencies
Deal Execution
- Assisting with some financial aspects of property acquisitions and disposals, including Review Completion satement accounting, asset and company onboarding and tax due diligence requirements
Treasury & Debt
- Assisting in the preparation of debt covenants
- Contributing to debt facility activity - drawdowns, repayments, extensions
Risk & Control
- Ensuring the group maintains a strong control environment
- Always consider risk appetite
- Participate in maintaining internal controls and procedures to ensure financial data integrity
YOU
- Part Qualified, Qualified accountant or QBE
- Curious mindset with plenty of common sense
- Excellent communication skills
- Commercially minded, and able to work well in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and multi-disciplinary business
