Finance Manager

• Annual Salary: £45,000 - £48,000
• Location: Colchester
• Job Type: Part-time
• Duration: 6 month fixed term contract

We are seeking a Finance Manager with extensive financial expertise and a strong background in business acumen. This role is crucial for controlling the finances of the organisation, ensuring effective financial controls, and leading the finance team to build on our recent successes.

• Oversee the production and analysis of all financial and performance-related reports, including end-of-year accounts, monthly management accounts, and financial reporting to stakeholders.
• Monitor and proactively improve the performance of the organisation against all core KPIs.
• Manage financial reporting monthly and quarterly to the Finance and Enterprise Committee and quarterly to the Board of Trustees.
• Line manage the performance of all members of the Finance team and the Retail Manager.
• Produce short and medium-term budgets and business plans.
• Ensure budgetary oversight and monitor financial performance against budget.
• Manage cash flow and ensure the effective use of resources across the organisation.
• Work with external auditors to ensure a clean audit report and full compliance with financial statements and tax returns.
• Ensure all financial outputs are produced accurately, timely, and in accordance with good governance.

• Extensive experience in financial management
• Qualified in, or working towards, ACA/CIMA/ACCA.
• Excellent leadership skills with experience managing both financial and non-financial teams.
• Ability to build effective relationships and communicate at all levels.
• Forward-thinking, motivated, and resourceful with a proven track record of achievement.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and project management skills.
• Proficient IT skills and ability to manage a varied workload in a busy organisation.
• Professional, pragmatic, with integrity and commitment.
