Payroll & Accounts

We are looking for a part-time Payroll and Accounts Assistant.

The company is based in a lovely rural setting between Bromey and Sevenoaks. Your own transport would help, but there is a regular bus service.

Part time: 22.5 hours per week.

As the Payroll and Accounts Assistant, you will manage the payroll processes and support the accounts function.

Key responsibilities:

Payroll Administration:

  • Process and manage the end-to-end monthly payroll for 200 employees, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, including tax codes, pensions, and statutory deductions (PAYE, NI, etc.)
  • Process payments for holiday, SSP, SMP, SPP and statutory deductions
  • Maintain employee records, including starters, leavers, and any adjustments
  • Liaise with HMRC regarding payroll submissions, tax codes, queries and year-end procedures
  • Prepare and distribute payslips, P60s and P45s
  • Oversee the company timekeeping system for hourly paid staff and the holiday portal
  • Ensure the company pension scheme is up to date
  • Help employees and management with payroll queries
  • Produce relevant management information and reports
