Job Advert Location Description

Hazelwood House is a 12 bedded low secure unit for adults with Mental Health & Learning Disabilities. Hazelwood House also has a one bedded bespoke apartment.
As part of the Support Services team, our Cooks provide a high quality service to our service users through the creation, presentation and delivery of meals. 

What we’d like from you:

• Basic qualification in food hygiene
• Level 2 diploma in food hygiene or qualified by previous experience in catering
• Commitment to delivering a high quality service
• Excellent organizational capability
• Effective communication skills
• Enthusiasm and energy
• Flexibility and strong “can do” attitude

What is expected from you? 

• Assist with menu creation, ensuring a nutritious, varied menu is available
• Ensure all food preparation meets the requirements of COSHH, Food safety and health & safety regulations
• Manage food budgets and stocks, checking deliveries as required and placing them in the appropriate storage areas.
• Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in all areas of the kitchen

 

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a confident individual and someone who has relevant experience in a similar sized kitchen and qualifications in food hygiene, prep and cookery.
