Location: Remote, based in the UK.

Contract Offered/ Working Hours: Consultancy, 4 hours per week

In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check

What does this role involve?

This role is responsible for leading and supporting a multidisciplinary team to develop and expand our existing sexual health services. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our account management team to evolve our newly established remote and digital sexual health services within public health
  • Play a major role in delivering a high quality, innovative and integrated sexual health model of care.
  • Demonstrate experience in: BASHH chlamydia management guidelines, the society of sexual health advisors (SSHA), guidance on partner notification and GMC supplementary guidance on confidentiality situations when disclosure of information about communicable diseases is required
  • Provide clinical care and ensure all clinical service outcomes are met for the delivery of both private and public contracts
  • Oversee the management of patients using digital platforms, including remote consultations, diagnosis and treatment plans
  • Ensure that results management activities are delivered in line with relevant NCP/ BASHH/ BHIVA guidelines
  • Oversee and implement all policies including clinical governance, safeguarding, information governance, risk management, data protection and incident reporting
  • Ensure all SOPs and clinical activities are delivered as per most up to date policies and guidelines

Essential criteria:

  • Primary Medical Qualification
  • Registered with GMC
  • Full GUM registration and license to practice
  • Completion of speciality training in genitourinary medicine and entry on the GMC specialist register (within 6 months from date of AAC)
  • Diploma in genitourinary medicine
  • Diploma in HIV medicine
  • Diploma of the faculty of sexual and reproductive healthcare
  • Up to date knowledge of sexual health guidelines, digital health technologies and public health principles
  • Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Desirable:

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of child protection issues
  • Ability to conduct evidence based review
  • Significant experience in sexual health, including experience with digital health platforms and remote patient management
  • Awareness of regional and national policy developments in sexual health promotion
  • Flexible approach to service delivery
