HR Advisor

Key Responsibilities:HR Software Management
  • Oversee the operations and maintenance of HR software.
  • Ensure accurate recording of holidays, sickness, medical appointments, other leave, and training.
  • Maintain up-to-date employee records.
  • Provide training and support to HR software users.
  • Generate reports and analyse HR data.
Employee Relations & HR Policies
  • Administer and advise on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support managers with employee matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, restructures, absence management, and performance management.
  • Keep HR policies updated to comply with employment regulations.
  • Effectively communicate policy changes to employees and managers.
Training & Development
  • Identify, recommend, and implement training and development programs.
  • Conduct training sessions.
  • Track employees' progress with professional qualifications and ensure compliance with training agreements.
Rewards & Benefits Management
  • Manage employee rewards and benefits programs, liaising with providers.
  • Oversee employee enrolment and administration of benefits.
  • Act as the primary contact for employee benefit queries.
  • Regularly review and enhance benefits offerings, ensuring competitiveness with industry standards.
Onboarding & Offboarding
  • Coordinate with managers and administrative teams for seamless onboarding and offboarding.
  • Prepare necessary documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Organize and conduct employee inductions.
  • Carry out exit interviews and report on key findings.
Performance Management
  • Schedule and facilitate performance reviews, ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Organize and communicate appraisal training via HR software.
  • Support managers in setting and tracking employee performance goals.
Recruitment
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and create job descriptions.
  • Liaise with recruitment agencies and utilize multiple sourcing channels.
  • Participate in interviews, providing structured evaluation criteria.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings.
  • Develop and implement employer branding initiatives to attract top talent.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • CIPD Qualification and/or Degree in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred.
  • Experience using HR software (e.g., Breathe, Hibob, Plumm, etc.).
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment laws.
  • Proven experience in HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with discretion in handling sensitive matters.
  • Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident in engaging with directors, colleagues, and external partners.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for improving HR processes and enhancing employee experiences.
