HR Skills Coach

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and qualified Skills Coach to join our growing team based within the South coast, predominately within Sussex. Responsibilities

  • Delivering apprenticeships in HR and Learning and Development L3 and L5.
  • Providing specialist information, advice, and support to learners
  • Providing the required level of support for each Apprentice to enable timely successful completions
  • Ensuring learners remain on programme by regularly checking in and carrying out progress reviews, either remotely or in the workplace on a 1:1 basis
  • Maintaining learners' records, including assessments records, plans and progress
  • Meets the needs of learners with additional learning support requirements with a variety of learning differences and disabilities.
  • Preparing apprentices for their End Point Assessment (EPA) and supporting with the off the job training
  • Assessing all work via an e-portfolio system
  • Implementing additional support where needed
  • Preserve up to date knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Responsible for personal ongoing CPD and keeping up to date with any changes within the sector
  • Attending quarterly standardisation meetings


Experience

  • Experience of working within the work-based learning industry, delivering apprenticeship qualifications and quality assuring against business standards - essential
  • You will have had at least 2 years' experience of working within the business, HR or L&D sectors.
  • Previous experience within the further education and/or training sector
  • Experience in a similar environment and of teaching a variety of learners with different abilities and age
  • Previous delivery of apprenticeship standards
  • Previous use of e-portfolio systems
  • Relevant experience of supporting and enabling learners with learning support needs

Qualifications

  • Assessor Award TAQA, A1 or equivalent - essential
  • IQA certificate - desirable
  • Teaching qualification - desirable


Skills

  • Excellent communication skills, able to effectively manage a caseload of apprentices and demonstrate good time management skills
  • You will also need knowledge of Microsoft Office software and have competent keyboard and IT skills
  • Hold a clean UK driving license and be a car driver
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass an Enhanced DBS check

Working Hours: This role could be 2-5 days a week dependant on applicant
