Relief Pharmacist

My fantastic client is seeking a Pharmacist to join our teams across Nottingham and Newark.

My client is looking for pharmacists with a strong focus on clinical services. They have put several of our pharmacists through Independent Prescribing (IP) courses, and would consider putting a successful applicant on our waiting list of pharmacists looking to do this. If you are already an pharmacist independent prescribe (PIP, they allow their PIPs to prescribe within the scope of their prescribing practice. They can support you to extend the scope of your prescribing practice or return to prescribing and can sign post you to external courses to achieve this.

Key Duties

  • Check prescriptions.
  • Deliver advanced services including NHS Pharmacy First consultations and the NHS Pharmacy Contraception Service (PCS).
  • Advise patients on urgent care and on the day illness within the scope your practice.
  • Advise patients on the use and actions of medications.
  • Supervise support staff to undertake the hypertension case finding service.
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy aides.
  • Perform administrative duties such as updating pharmacy records.
  • Work as part of a team to deliver pharmaceutical care to customers.
  • Provide NHS and private vaccination services

Responsibilities:

£22-£27 per hour dependent on experience

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Qualified Pharmacist and registered with the GPhC
  • Enjoy fast paced work
  • Strong commitment to person-centred care and ability to reach appropriate shared decisions with the people who use our services.
  • Open and clear communication with internal staff and when necessary the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Highly developed problem-solving clinical reasoning skills
  • Motivated to undertake self-directed learning
  • Strong commitment to quality management and personal organisation
  • Experience in community pharmacy preferred but not essential
  • Non-restricted right to work in the UK.
