I have partnered with a leading retail manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join their small but growing team. Working alongside the Senior Finance Assistant and Operations Director, you will manage all aspects of AP and AR, payroll and be able to support with UK VAT returns. You will ideally have used QuickBooks and must have excellent organisational and communication skills. Close to public transport links, the company also offers flexibility in working pattern.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance, posting and reconciliation of our UK overheads on QuickBooks Online
Monthly reconciliation of our UK accounts in GBP, USD & Euros.
Updating overhead info for management reports and company budgeting
Processing monthly payments to UK suppliers and other services, including checking/paying employee cash expenses
Processing urgent daily payments for imports and export activities
Day to day responsibility of financial queries. Monitor company emails related to UK expenses in order to code the expenses in the system under the correct account.
Monthly UK overhead breakdown review with Operations Director, including movement of funds to our other UK accounts which are in USD and Euros.
Maintain and update customer invoice lists for our UK Customers
Send statements to clients when requested.
Skills Required
A strong financial background, experience with accounting packages (ideally QuickBooks)
Exceptional administration and organisational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise and think ahead
Meticulous with a keen eye for detail
Integrity and professionalism with sensitive financial information.
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc
Team player with great interpersonal and communications skills
