What You'll Do:

Financial Leadership & Compliance:

You will take charge of our organisation's financial health by ensuring all statutory financial reporting aligns with UK GAAP and Charities SORP standards. You will also oversee VAT and Gift Aid filings and manage external audits, ensuring our financial practices meet the highest standards of compliance and integrity.

Strategic Financial Oversight:

Use your analytical skills to develop comprehensive financial reports and updates for executive leaders and board members, providing pivotal insights that drive strategic planning and informed decision-making across the organisation.

Operational Excellence:

Lead our dedicated Sales and Purchase Ledger teams, ensuring timely issuance of invoices, prompt vendor payments, and robust credit control processes that maintain the organization's financial stability.

Amber Housing Financial Oversight:

Maintain and enhance financial integrity within Amber Housing by managing service charges effectively and presenting key financial insights during board meetings, enabling transparent and strategic discussions.

Policy & Process Development:

Continuously assess and enhance financial procedures, promoting a culture of accuracy and compliance that permeates throughout the charity, ensuring that our processes meet regulatory demands and support our mission.

Team Development:

Foster an environment of growth and collaboration by inspiring, mentoring, and developing a high-performing finance team equipped to meet the sector's challenges.

Who You Are:

Qualified Expert: You hold a certification in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA and bring extensive experience in financial accounting, audit management, and compliance specifically within the charity or social care sectors.

Strategic Thinker: You possess a proven ability to present complex financial information to executive boards with clarity and confidence, driving essential strategic initiatives forward.

Analytical Leader: You excel at analysing intricate financial data, with strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail that ensures accuracy in all financial matters.

Tech-Savvy: Your proficiency with accounting software, Excel, and financial systems integration enables you to optimise processes and enhance operational efficiency.
