Full time [part time will be considered on an hours-sharing basis]

Marston Holdings Limited has an exciting opportunity for a motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic Onboarding Administrator to join our Internal Central Talent Team. 

As an essential facilitator of the onboarding process our Administrators act as advocates for our people brand and company values and will need to have clear and confident communication skills excellent attention to detail and the ability to work methodically to manage a large portfolio of tasks in line with service level agreements. 

From point of offer through to commencement and initial induction the role holder will be a key point of contact undertaking full administration of the onboarding process for new starters and internal appointments across the Group. 

Day to day activities will include co-ordination and undertaking of pre-employment screening checks, issuing formal offer letters and contracts of employment to successful candidates bringing all onboarding processes to completion. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing onboarding and employment screening for new joiners, proactively managing queries and escalations relating to the offers and screening process from both hiring managers and new appointments. 
  • Being the point of contact for any DBS/Disclosure Scotland/AccessNI checks with un-clear results following up with hiring managers and HR. 
  • Maintaining knowledge and understanding of current legislation impacting upon recruitment (right to work GDPR screening and vetting) and escalating where appropriate. 
  • Actively supporting the Talent and HR team in dealing with internal and external candidate onboarding queries.
  • Collaborating with the Talent team and wider People and Organisational Development team to review and recommend improvements on our onboarding and recruitment policy and process.Update and maintain employee personnel files within the HR systems.
  • Supporting the Onboarding Manager with a variety of strategic resourcing projects as and when required. 

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working within a talent or onboarding environment
  • Experience and understanding of Applicant Tracking/HR/Vetting systems such as Talos, PeopleXD and Certn [system training will be given]
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities whilst keeping to tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literacy with excellent Microsoft Office skills and ideally intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team applying self-motivation and using own initiative.

The successful candidate will be subject to clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and a County Court Judgment check.
