This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of our payroll processes, ensuring they are efficient, streamlined, and aligned with our company’s evolving needs.

We operate 31 care homes across the Southeast, along with a domiciliary care division and a social housing portfolio in South London. You’ll be responsible for processing fortnightly and monthly payrolls for approximately 3,500 employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and confidence in our payroll systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead payroll operations, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on time.
  • Drive payroll system improvements and automation for increased efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new payroll and HR technologies.
  • Process payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation and proactively prepare for regulatory changes.
  • Provide guidance and training to the payroll team, fostering professional development.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining payroll processes and enhancing employee experience.

About You:

  • Extensive experience managing payroll in a multi-site organisation.
  • Deep understanding of complex payroll cycles and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Strong payroll systems experience (ideally with Flexipay Payroll System – Mitrefinch/Advanced).
  • Ideally, you hold a payroll qualification.
