Time and Attendance Administrator

About The Role

As our Time and Attendance (T&A) Administrator, you will be responsible for accurately and timely processing employee attendance data for payroll submission. This role involves maintaining the T&A system, administering employee absences and overtime, and liaising with employees and external payroll providers to resolve attendance-related queries.

• Salary: £14969.35 per annum

• Shift Pattern: 24 hours per week over 4 or 5 Days. 

• Location: Crewe (CW1 6BF)

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

T&A Systems Administration:

  • Maintain and update the T&A system with employee non-attendance records, including holidays, sick leave, special leave, lateness, and medical appointments.
  • Ensure employee shift patterns are correctly reflected in the system.
  • Administer and monitor flexible working hours in line with company policy.
  • Process new starters and terminations (including agency workers), ensuring accurate setup and removal from the system.
  • Maintain the system to reflect any organisational structure changes.

Overtime & Payroll Support:

  • Process overtime records based on properly authorised overtime day sheets.
  • Provide accurate T&A reports to agencies for invoicing purposes.
  • Maintain and update agency rates as required.
  • Code absences for senior management reporting.
  • Liaise with external payroll providers as necessary to resolve attendance queries.
  • Assist the payroll team with administrative tasks as needed.

Employee & Stakeholder Liaison:

  • Respond to employee queries regarding attendance records.
  • Administer and manage centre changes within the T&A system.
  • Create schedules and work patterns as required.

A Few Things About You

  •  Experience: Prior experience in a payroll, HR, or time & attendance administration role is preferred.
  •  Technical Skills: Proficiency in T&A and payroll systems, with strong MS Excel skills.
  •  Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  •  Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with employees, agencies, and payroll providers.
  •  Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of payroll processes, company policies, and employment regulations.
