Day-to-Day of the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide individualised support to pupils with diverse needs such as ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Collaborate with teaching staff to implement effective individual education plans (IEPs).
Engage pupils in stimulating activities that promote learning and social interaction.
Monitor and adapt strategies to foster pupil progress, maintaining close communication with the educational team.
Work in partnership with parents and professionals to maximise educational outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a similar role or a role with transferable skills, demonstrating a confident and proactive approach to SEN education.
A current DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, and parents.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
