Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable students and making a difference in their educational journey as a Nurture teacher?
Academics is working on behalf of a fantastic SEMH School in Luton who is looking for a Nurture Teacher to lead the delivery of our KS2/3 Nurture provision.
This role involves planning and implementing a tailored curriculum for some of our most vulnerable students, who are not yet ready to engage with the secondary curriculum. We are seeking a teacher with experience supporting students with anxiety, emotionally-based school avoidance, ADHD, and/or ASD. While Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, we will also consider candidates without QTS who can demonstrate significant experience and a positive impact in a school or nursery setting.
This independent SEMH school in Luton caters to up to 50 children aged 8-18. They educate day pupils and, through their unique Turning the Curve provision, provide support to young people who have been disengaged from education for extended periods.
The Luton school is hoping to gain a like-minded Nurture Teacher to achieve their mission to create a nurturing, accepting environment for students who have not had their needs met in other settings, as well as to offer their staff a supportive work/life balance that is often unavailable in larger schools.
