Assistant Accountant

• Annual Salary: £26,000 - £31,000 (pro rata)
• Location: Colchester, CO4
• Job Type: Part-time (20-25 hours per week)

Join our team in Colchester as an Assistant Accountant. This part-time role is perfect for someone who is disciplined, methodical, and a team player. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including auditing, inputting payroll data, and maintaining accounts schedules, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency.

• Audit and input payroll data into Sage 50 Payroll.
• Audit and prepare suppliers' monthly payment inputs to Sage 50.
• Audit and input petty cash monthly.
• Maintain the revenue model and prepare monthly sales ledger invoices on Sage 50 Accounts.
• Manage credit control and maintain an aged debtor summary.
• Prepare customer recharges.
• Maintain various management accounts schedules.
• Maintain filing systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll.
• Strong skills in MS Office, including Excel.
• Ability to work methodically and maintain high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
