Part Time Professional Support Lawyer

We have been instructed on a rare opportunity for an experienced Litigator to join a Legal 500 Law Firm in Birmingham as a Professional Support Lawyer on a part time basis (3 days a week). This role would be suitable for an existing PSL who is looking for a fresh challenge or an experienced Litigator who is looking to move away from a traditional fee earning role.

About the role

This full service commercial law firm's highly regarded Litigation department are seeking to recruit a Professional Support Lawyer to work closely with their team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain the firm's knowledge bank, including updating precedents, guidance notes and other key know how content;
  • Ensure fee earners are kept up to date on new legislation, cases and commercial developments;
  • Draft or edit articles on suitable topics for publication;
  • Undertake legal research to answer technical queries; and
  • Prepare and deliver technical training to the practice group

About the person

The successful Professional Support Lawyer will be a UK qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years' of relevant experience. Experience in Property Litigation, Construction Litigation or Regulatory would be highly beneficial.

Key skills that you will possess include a keen attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to undertake research as well as an understanding of the development, sharing and use of knowledge.
