About Wild Atlantic Cycling

Wild Atlantic Cycling Limited delivers supported, point-to-point cycling tours in Ireland, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, France, Croatia and The Balkans. Our tours appeal to relatively experienced cyclists from age 20 to 70+. Our emphasis is on great routes and second to none customer service.

We are seeking a replacement on 1st March 2025 for our skilled, enthusiastic and dedicated Business Administrator who is retiring at the end of March 2025. The BA works closely with, and is supported by the 2 Company Directors.

About the Role

The BA takes responsibility for many aspects of the business but predominantly manages accommodation bookings for the cycle tours. This is the primary task. This involves obtaining quotes and confirming bookings, compiling rooming lists, making payment and dealing with queries from hotel managers. The company employs several web-based systems to help record the outcomes of this process and ensure transparency so although specific software experience is not essential it is necessary to have good spreadsheeting skills and a high degree of computer literacy. Previous experience working with databases is useful.

In addition to hotel bookings the BA also responds to emails and calls from customers and handles bookings through our very effective and user-friendly booking system. This system is integrated with the website Content Management System and there is alot of detailed communication required to customers by email and phone.
There is also an element of catering venue booking, van logistics, jersey orders and marketing.

Skills
  • The role is detailed and a methodical approach is required. You will need to have had previous experience of handling and recording information effectively and processing data. Training will be given on the efficient use of our systems.

Terms and Benefits
  • The job is home-based. A laptop computer is required. The BA will need to provide own internet connection (WIFI). Expenses are paid.
  • Hours are part-time at 15 per week (9am to 1pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with 3 floating hours a week. These are core hours but we can be flexible.
  • Seasonal factors may necessitate additional hours at certain times
  • Salary is £15.50 per hour and paid monthly into your bank account on the last Friday of each month. A Nest Pension contribution is provided.
