Head of Finance
Are you an experienced finance professional with a passion for global peace, security, and sustainable development? A well-established international NGO is seeking a Part-Time Head of Finance to lead and manage the financial and administrative operations of its dynamic and impactful organisation.

Key Responsibilities
As Head of Finance, you will:
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning at the organisational and project levels.
- Oversee financial compliance, audits, and reporting to stakeholders, including funders and the Board of Trustees.
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, payroll, and supplier payments.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly financial systems and controls to ensure organisational resilience and efficiency.
- Support HR processes, including contracts, visas, and staff benefits.
- Work closely with Programme Directors to manage project finances, funder reporting, and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of charity finance regulations and best practices.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Substantial senior-level experience in charity or non-profit financial management. Proven ability to oversee budgets, management accounts, and financial operations.
- Expertise: Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks), charity-specific requirements, and grant/contract management from governments and foundations.
- Skills: Strong organisational, communication, and prioritisation skills. Ability to work effectively with colleagues across disciplines and adapt to changing needs.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and professional accounting qualification of equivalent (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
