As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Hours: 30 hours a week. Working pattern will be Wednesday to Sunday, with bank holiday Mondays included as these will be the property opening times. Regular weekend working required.

Salary: £11.64 an hour

What it's like to work here Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, you’ll be part of a friendly and warm team of 2 Welcome & Service Assistants, supported by group of dedicated volunteers.As the public face of the property, you’ll be on your feet providing a warm and friendly welcome from both indoor and outdoor spaces. You will provide information about the estate and its history, process admission transactions, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Alongside this, you will help maintain high standards of site presentation across the property.
You will support the team to achieve performance targets and help grow support with visitors to the estate. This would include talking to our visitors about the benefits of a National Trust membership as well as highlighting how their support enables the National Trust to continue to look after the 500 special places in its care, for everyone, for ever.
What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same.Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
