Part time Accounts Assistant

New role available - Accounts Assistant - up to 27.5 hour (flexible days and hours).


Office based - on site parking.


Job Spec:

  • Customer sales account credit control, chasing unpaid invoices, customer receipt allocation, handling customer credits, handling invoice / payment queries from customers.
  • Input of supplier invoices, handling supplier credit notes, supplier payment allocations.
  • Importing of nominal transactions into sage from staff expenses management software, general nominal ledger maintenance, routine journals.
  • Cash Book Activities: routine use of Sage bank feeds to create customer receipts, supplier payments, nominal payments etc directly from the bank transactions.
  • Processing inter-account transfers, VAT payments, direct debit payments etc through Sage 200.
  • Monthly routine accounts activities such as sales ledger accounts postings and allocations.
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of VAT returns and initial review.

Person Spec:

* Experience working within a similar role
* Good IT skills
* Available to start at short notice
