Eventus Legal is seeking a Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a well-established regional law firm’s Private Client team. The firm is situated in Horley and is easily commutable from several areas including Redhill, Horsham and Haywards Heath. This is a permanent, full-time job with a reputable firm who are renowned for providing expert legal services to an impressive client base. Role Responsibilities

The incoming Solicitor or Legal Executive will join a leading law firm who specialise in providing expert advice and assistance to their clients. With a commitment to excellence and a client-centric approach, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality service to the Private Client team.

The day-to-day jobs duties within this role will include:

• Providing support and work closely with the Senior Consultant in the Private Client department
• Providing sound legal advice and assistance to clients, independently managing a busy caseload and ensuring files are managed efficiently
• Assisting with various Private Client matters including preparation of wills and trusts, Powers of Attorney, probate, estate administration, and tax
• Taking on new instructions and have ongoing conduct of client matters through to completion
• Maintaining a professional knowledge base and ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures

Person Specification

The incoming Solicitor or Legal Executive will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role within Private Client, preferably within a reputable law firm or legal department. You will also be able to demonstrate:

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with previous experience in Private Client matters including Wills, Trust & Probate, and estate administration
• Demonstrable technical competence in Private Client law without need for supervision
• Well-developed interpersonal, social and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and able to work effectively under pressure
• A sound knowledge of your responsibilities including professional conduct, client care, confidentiality, regulatory and compliance procedures
• Experience with case management systems
• Experience with Court of Protection work (desirable)
