Reed are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Manager to join an established client of ours in the aviation industry. This is a permanent, part time role. The Health & Safety and Safety Manager (HSSM) is dual role that is responsible for the development, administration and maintenance of the Health & Safety and Safety Management System for the ATO and FSTD Operations
The Health and Safety Manager will...
• Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety policies and procedures, and ensuring the Company, its employees and contractors are compliant with Health and Safety Legislation
• Ensuring staff have the relevant Health & Safety and Environmental training to enable them to carry out their tasks safely and compliant with Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation
• Investigating incidents where required and gather all documentation in line with company policies
• Reviewing internal Risk Assessments
• Overseeing contractors Risk Assessments and Method Statements ensuring they are adhered to
• Carrying out internal Audits, identifying areas for improvements
• Carrying out monthly building / safety inspections
• Carrying out Fire Safety Manager duties
The successful Health and Safety Manager will have...
• NEBOSH qualification or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite (SharePoint, word, excel ,PowerPoint and Outlook)
• High level of personal professional integrity
• Ability to work independently or as part of a small team
• Previous experience managing a SMS for AoC or ATO/FSTD operator would be an advantage but not essential
