Payroll Manager

Part Time, 20 hours per week.

We are a friendly, family-owned firm of Chartered Accountants based in Lichfield.

Established in 2005, we are a growing practice who specialise in providing tax and accountancy advice to small businesses and individuals.

We use the latest technology to assist our clients and work as efficiently as possible.

We are now looking to recruit a Payroll Manager.

The role is based in the firm’s office in Lichfield, Staffordshire, West Midlands.

Job Title: Payroll Manager

• Part time role. 20 hours per week, flexible for either 5 days of 4 hours per day or 4 days of 5 hours per day preferred

• Package: £13 - £16 per hour based on experience

Start date: asap.

Area:Lichfield, Staffordshire.

Payroll Manager Responsibilities and Duties

• Process weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annual payrolls for various clients (c100 payrolls)
• Almost all payrolls processed using Staffology
• Process pay and issue payslips to employees
• Process FPS and EPS submissions to HM Revenue & Customs
• Process and manage any statutory payments, Attachment of Earnings, starters and leavers
• Process year ends and issue P60s to employees
• Manage National Minimum Wage compliance of clients
• Auto-Enrolment pension management, submit pensions, manage re-enrolment declarations and re-declarations
• Set up, add and cease payrolls
• Resolve payroll issues with HM Revenue & Customs
• Process CIS for Subcontractor submissions for clients
• Manage linked software packages (mypayewindow, Xero, IRIS)

Other requirements

Must have:

• At least 3 years of working experience in Payroll

Preferred:

• Experience of working in an Accounting Practice Payroll team
• Experience of using Staffology
• Experience of using Xero payroll module

No specific qualifications required but good A-Levels are a minimum

• Hours -20 per week
• Either 5 days of 4 hours per day or 4 days or 5 hours per day preferred

• £13 - £16 per hour based on experience
• Holidays 23 days plus bank holidays pro rata
