Payroll Coordinator

Axi Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established accountancy firm in central Hull for a Payroll Coordinator. The role of the Payroll Coordinator will join a company in a growth period and will contribute to a dynamic, experienced and talented Finance Team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the payroll process for the company.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including data entry, calculations, and deductions.
  • Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Analyse payroll data to identify trends and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll records.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and regulations.
  • Proficient in using payroll software such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or other HRIS systems.
  • Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
