Hotel Services Assistant/ Catering Assistant

Location: Winfield Hospital/ The Dean Neurological Centre, Gloucester

Hours: 18 hours per week, Part-time

Salary - Depending on experience + Benefits

Summary:

Winfield Hospital is one of Gloucestershire's leading private hospitals, located on the outskirts of the City of Gloucester. It is situated off the Northern Ring Road with excellent road and rail links. The hospital opened in 1992 and currently has 39 beds including thirty four single rooms all with en-suite facilities.

The role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an Hotel Services Assistant/ Catering Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team at the Winfield Hospital/ The Dean Neurological Centre, based in Gloucester.

Duties will include:

  • To provide a high standard of catering service throughout the hospital, as part of the support services team
  • To obtain food and beverage orders from patients, staff and visitors to the hospital
  • To assist in the preparation and service of food to patients, staff and visitors to the hospital
  • To clean on a daily basis all areas of the catering department to the agreed standard
  • To have a good understanding of current health and hygiene regulations, and ensure that these are adhered to in the preparation and service of all foodstuffs
  • To ensure that all restaurant/room service is provided in accordance with the Ramsay Hotel Services minimum standards documentation

What you'll bring with you:

  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate for Catering (if not already held, company funded training must be undertaken)

  • Previous catering experience (desirable)

  • Customer service NVQ or equivalent (desirable)
