Therapist - Children’s Home & Community Settings

We are recruiting a creative, flexible, and fun Therapist to provide 1:1 therapy to children and young people in care aged 13 to 19 years old. You will support the development of critical social and emotional skills to help emotional regulation, improve social skills, and deal with here-and-now issues.

Part-Time, 3 to 4 days per week
£45,000 pro-rata + pension + travel to work expenses + external clinical supervision + wellbeing budget
Location: London

A typical working day will include up to 4 x 1:1 therapy sessions, attending key meetings with the network, and internal meetings around care and safety planning.

Do you have?

  • At least 2-years’ work experience along with an outstanding track record in making a difference to the lives of children and young people.
  • An understanding of how previous experiences and present emotions can be communicated through behaviour and have the competence and skills to interpret these, and to help young people do the same.
  • Safeguarding competences to identify and act upon signs that a child or young person is at risk of harm.
  • An understanding of the challenges in delivering frontline support.
  • Ambition matched with a desire for continuous professional development.

Please notethat under Section 7(2) (b) of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 only women are eligible to apply for the position as a large part of the work will take place at our all-female Children’s Home, Yvonne House.
