About the role
We have an exciting opening for a driver to join the team in our College. You will be responsible for driving our college learners to and from visits and trips to various locations. You will also be assisting passengers with their belongings, cleaning and maintaining the vehicle, route planning and completing paper work as required.
This is a vital role for our service as it will enable our students to have access to further education, employment opportunities and leisure activities which all form part of their curriculum.
As a guideline, you will be working an average of 5 hours per day, usually Monday – Friday 8:00am – 11:00am and/or 2.00pm – 4.00pm.
We are looking for someone who can work flexibly as the working hours may differ from time to time to meet the needs of the service. We are also open to exploring the role as a job share between two successful candidates, one working in the morning and the other in the afternoon.
About you
To be considered for the position, you’ll need to have the following:
- a full clean driving licence with substantial driving experience
- experience of driving 7 seater vehicles
- an understanding of passenger safety requirements including wheelchair and disabled access.
