Insurance Trading Analyst: Ageas are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our Marketing and Digital Department, as an Insurance Trading Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial performance of digital distribution channels.

As an Insurance Trading Analyst you will be responsible for analysing customer/policy volume, income, and retention in order to drive sustainable and profitable growth; you will work to understand commercial trading data and leverage these insights to drive customer and commercial outcomes, supporting our overall business strategy.

Main Responsibilities as Insurance Trading Analyst:

  • This role will independently identify, assess, and produce recommendations to optimise performance and then manage through to delivery.
  •  To manage and develop the overall trading MI suite, ensuring the accuracy and usability of information that is actionable and helps achieve the team strategic objectives
  •  Play a key role in growing all channels across the Ageas Direct business, ensuring a channel agnostic approach when reviewing and appraising performance or initiatives
  • To be aware of external factors that could impact the performance of brands via the digital distribution channels
  • Support the development of all channels to achieve target volumes, GWP & Income.
  • Deliver measurable improvements to marketing results through the application of advanced analytics – through increased top line results and improved marketing efficiency
  • Responsible for the identification and implementation of offers, price tests, incentives that will increase add-on penetration & value per sale.
  • To monitor and manage service level agreements in place to secure uninterrupted participation and availability on each channel.
  •  To understand the end-to-end customer journey and work collaboratively across digital distribution partners and internal teams to maximise trading performance and meet sales & retention targets
  • To continuously look for and implement ways to improve the presence of Ageas Direct brands in the digital distribution market.


Skills and experience you need as Insurance Trading Analyst:

  • Highly analytical, articulate and numerate with experience of forecasting and planning
  • Expert knowledge of general insurance, the industry and Ageas UK product suite
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communications skills with the ability to liaise with internal and external colleagues at all levels
  • Advanced working knowledge of data analysis and experience of using data analytics tools including Power BI, SAS, SQL is advantageous
  • Good technical awareness with ability to challenge solutions and provide direction
  • Experience and understanding of translating and presenting insights into commercial benefits – the “So-What, Now-What”.
