Hours: Part-Time (Approx. 2 hours tutoring + cover supervision for the remainder of the day)

Role Overview :
We are seeking a passionate Tutor & Cover Supervisor to work across an SEMH setting, providing essential academic tutoring in core subjects and covering lessons in a supportive environment. The role will be based in Cambridge and Wisbech, and candidates will need to be able to drive due to the nature of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Tutoring (Approx. 2 hours per day):
- Deliver tutoring in core curriculum subjects, including Maths, English, Functional Skills, and PSHE, to small groups of students.
- Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of students, providing personalised support to enhance their academic progress.
- Help students develop key skills in numeracy, literacy, and personal development to build confidence and independence.
Cover Supervision (Remaining time):
- Supervise students during lessons in the absence of a regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and follow the set work.
- Maintain a positive, calm, and productive learning environment, managing behaviour effectively in an SEMH setting.
- Provide support to students who may need extra help with their work or additional guidance throughout the day.
What We Are Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally in an SEMH or alternative provision setting.
- DBS (or the willingness to apply)
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Strong knowledge of the core curriculum, particularly Maths, English, and Functional Skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to support students with diverse needs, particularly in an SEMH setting.
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle (due to the nature of the role and location).
