What our client is looking for:

They are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Finance Assistant to join their Finance team in Birmingham part-time or full time. You will need to be someone who enjoys change and variety in their work. Working within finance you will have strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work. They are a technology company, so you will also need to enjoy working with new computer systems and embracing new challenges.

What you will be doing:

  • Outbound calling - chasing outstanding payments for overdue customer accounts
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices, ensuring accurate data entry, coding and matching PO’s
  • Dealing with invoice queries, ensuring they are tracked and resolved efficiently
  • Communicating with clients, building and providing a trusted service
  • Bank reconciliations
  • General administration duties
  • Reviewing and updating current processes where needed

What skills are they looking for:

Essential

  • Experience of using accounting software.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office & Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • A clear communicator able to talk to people at all levels.

Desirable

  • AAT Studier
  • Xero Accounting Software
