Your new company is a well established manufacturing SME based in Stockport. After a recent EOT they're now looking to strengthen their finance function.
Your new role
In your new role as Company Accountant, you will own the production of Monthly Management accounts whilst maintaining and controlling the purchase ledger function, including BACS payments. You will manage the completion and maintenance of all statutory returns for trading and holding companies, along with the maintenance of the general ledger. You'll be the main point of contact for the banks and accountants.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be an experienced finance professional and have experience working within the SME environment. You'll have previous experience preparing the Management Accounts process and all other transactional finance duties. You'll have strong IT systems skills, including Excel. You'll have a hands-on approach to your work and be able to manage a fluctuating workload. No qualification is needed for this position, but you must be qualified by experience. Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
You'll join an incredibly stable manufacturing business and be given the autonomy to lead the finance function. You receive a salary of £30,000 for 25 hours per week (£50,000 equivalent). These hours can be spread across the week to suit your personal commitments. This is an office-based role.
