Job Title: Support Manager
Job Overview:
As a Support Manager, you will oversee a team of support workers, ensuring that individuals achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life. You will provide leadership and strategic direction, ensuring high-quality practical and emotional support for clients with diverse needs while promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and supervise a team of support workers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure effective service delivery.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to individual needs and goals.
- Quality Assurance: Monitor service quality and compliance with regulatory standards, conducting regular audits and assessments to ensure best practices are followed.
- Resource Management: Manage budgets, staffing, and resources effectively to optimize service delivery and meet the needs of clients.
- Emotional Support: Foster a supportive environment for both clients and staff, promoting mental well-being and resilience within the team.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Oversee the documentation of clients' progress and any changes in their physical or mental health, ensuring accurate reporting to relevant professionals.
- Advocacy: Champion clients’ needs and preferences, ensuring their rights and dignity are upheld in all aspects of service delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in health and social care management (e.g., NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care).
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within a care setting.
