Intervention Teaching Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Intervention Teaching Assistant to support primary school students in North London. This role focuses on delivering targeted interventions for both lower ability (LA) and higher ability (HA) pupils to help enhance their academic performance and overall development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and support LA and HA pupils in their learning, developing personalized intervention plans tailored to their specific needs.
  • Implement structured interventions for individuals and small groups to improve literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking skills.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of students, adjusting strategies as needed in collaboration with teachers to ensure effectiveness.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes participation from all students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate findings effectively with teachers and parents.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with lower ability (LA) and/or higher ability (HA) pupils in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of different intervention strategies and how to implement them effectively.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping all students succeed.
