Associate Lecturer – Chef

Salary: £25.30 - £39.47 per hour

Working Pattern: Variable hours

We have an exciting career opportunity to join our Hospitality & Catering team at our Central Brighton campus, based in the heart of the vibrant North laine area.

This position would suit an experienced Chef Lecturer who has broad teaching experience ranging from Level 1 to Level 3 professional cookery, however we would consider applications from highly experienced chefs who are keen to undertake professional teaching and assessment.

You will be joining a growing and ambitious department who are committed to developing and delivering outstanding teaching & learning. You will be passionate about supporting students throughout their learning journey. Relevant industry experience in Hospitality & Catering will be required but you will be supported in developing your role here at the College.   

Your role will include:

  • Teaching Level 1 to Level 3 Professional Cookery within our dedicated kitchens, classrooms and commercial restaurant.
  • Teaching a range of age groups including 14-16, 16-19 and adult learners
  • Working collaboratively and developing partnerships within the local community
  • Ensuring that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.
