Are you ready to take on an exciting role in Engineering? MBDA is seeking an ambitious and proven Engineering Project Manager to join our exceptional Electronic Engineering team!

Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

Salary: Competitive depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage, Bristol or Bolton (we may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: This role could be full time or part time (4 or 5 days per week). On site working would typically be 2 or 3 days a week, depending on the project needs and workload classification.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

As an Engineering Project Manager (EPM), you'll play a crucial role in driving the design, development, and delivery of our world-class electronic equipment. From concept to full production, you will be responsible for ensuring we are on time, within budget and meeting the highest quality standards.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. As part of a dynamic team, you will work closely with Project Controllers for scheduling in P6, as well as mentoring our Engineering Project Coordinators.

In addition, this role offers a clear path for advancement, leading to Senior EPM and Delivery Lead positions. There will be future opportunities to manage larger project portfolios and teams, while also taking on increased customer management responsibilities. You may also have the chance to participate in outreach initiatives, representing Electronics Engineering in your community and getting involved in events promoting diversity in engineering.

What we're looking for from you:

  • A demonstrable background in the engineering development of electronics units
  • Experience in effective project management techniques, including risks, engaging with different parties, ensuring compliance, project configurations, and tracking earned value.
  • Consistent track record of delivering significant projects/programmes on time and within budget.
  • Experience in managing projects across all phases, from conception and initiation to manufacture, qualification, and customer delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail and a strong sense of pride in your work.
