Quality Management System Manager - part time

QMS Manager

We are supporting our well-known client in the insurance industry in their search for a Quality Management Manager, on a part-time basis. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), in order to drive efficiencies and strive to continually improve business processes.

Part-time hours of between 18 to 22 per week, between Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. There is flexibility to a working pattern which will be discussed.

Salary is £30,000 full-time equivalent. Benefits include:

Duties to include:

  • Develop and maintain QMS documentation, perform QMS audits, and provide QMS training.
  • Ensure quality standards are met & ensure compliance to applicable regulations.
  • Prepare high quality audit reports to assist with system development and training.
  • Be an ambassador for quality processes & provide education, training & advice to all staff.
  • Understand the regulatory requirements of the company & ensure compliance.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in a way which complies with relevant external legislation and regulation, company compliance and other procedures.

It is an essential requirement of this role that the candidate has their own transport and a full, clean, UK driving licence, as you will be required to visit the other two offices in east Kent from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in developing & maintaining QMS systems
  • Experience of carrying out audits on a quality system
  • Strong research and analytical skills, and good maths & problem-solving skills
  • Effective and professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good IT skills especially Microsoft Office, CRM systems, data systems etc
  • Able to manage own workload and able to work effectively under pressure
  • Great team working, build relationships through positive behaviours, honesty, & integrity.
  • Focus on continuous improvement, able to use own initiative
  • Commitment to quality & compliance with procedures/regulations
  • Own transport & full UK driving licence

Desirable attributes would be:

  • Experience in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of insurance sector
