FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | 13/04/2013 |
Montreal, Quebec ( connect2business ) April 13, 2013 - Future Electronics, a global leading distributor of electronic components, recently added another how-to video to its series on selecting the best electronic components for various applications. "How to Select the Right Image Sensor for Your Application" is now available, along with many more helpful tutorials offered through the company's YouTube channel.
An image sensor is an electronic, photosensitive device which converts an optical image into an electronic signal. It is composed of millions of photodiodes and is used as an image receiver in digital imaging equipment.
Image sensors( http://www.futureelectronics.com/en/sensors/image.aspx ) are small in size and offer low power consumption. They are also easy to use and can be adapted to several applications at a low overall cost.
Image sensors are mostly used in digital cameras, videoconferencing equipment and other imaging devices. In a camera, a photo electronic image sensor converts the light passing through the lens into per-photodiode charges of varying sizes. These charges are then processed by the camera's electronics and are converted into image information by the camera's software. Applications in the dental x-ray field include intra-oral, panoramic, and cephalometric imaging.
There are several different kinds of image sensors. Future Electronics stocks many of the most common types categorized by supply voltage, packaging type and supply current.
The video explains the various kinds of image sensors, and then shows the easy process of using parameters such as supply voltage, packaging type, supply current and more, to find the best parts for any application on the company's website.
